The qualifiers for the very first European SuperCar final were François Duval (Ford Focus Mk2), Frode Holte (Hyundai i20) and Tommy Rustad (VW Polo Mk5) as a result of the first semi-final. The second semi-final delivered Jérôme Grosset-Janin (Peugeot 208), Ole Christian Veiby (VW Polo Mk5) and former FIA European Autocross champion Tamás Kárai (Škoda Fabia Mk1) as qualifiers. The final itself saw plenty of contact in the opening lap with Veiby leading it at the end of it. When the Norwegian passed through the joker lap section - in lap 2 - Grosset-Janin went into the lead and kept it until the end. Because of the contact only three drivers made it to the finish line. Veiby finished second and Tamás Kárai third. "This final was crazy", Grosset-Janin said afterwards. "I had a really good start and then I was hit very hard from behind. The car has been good all weekend, we've had good pace all day, and I'm very happy for the team. They gave me a lot of confidence and all the work we did over the winter months with their technical team has given me the best start to the season."
